Arts & Crafts Silver Patterns The Arts & Crafts silver movement in American started in the 1880s. It was a return to traditional handmade craftsmanship, rather than machine manufacturing. Arts & Crafts sterling retains the hand hammering marks versus a mirror smooth finish. An individual silversmith would create each piece in its entirety. Our favorite handmade silversmiths include: Allan Adler, Porter Blanchard, Old Newbury Crafters, Kalo, and Lebolt. Here are some great examples.
